WUNDERBAR,
what a grrrrrrreat week!!!! that is how tony the tiger would say it. I am so stoked. We planned transfers with president condie, and that was a wonderful experience. Elder baird and i get to stay together another transfer. Just to let you know that i also believe that i haven't written since the 24th. i sent all the emails that i have sent earlier but i believe that is about it. well you haven't seen any pictures of me because i haven't been able to take any. I have really no time to do that. we should take our cameras with us on all of our extravagant adventures but it is just a burden. I can come back here another time. We are doing great. I was wicked sick the past couple of weeks but managed to work through it and we cranked out 25 lessons this week. we are trying to help lift the mission through our example. I am so greatfull for elder Baird. He and i get along so well.
Well the baptism for georg geier is set in motion. He quit smoking this week. i introduced to him the stop smoking workshop. and he did it. we had a party for him because he made it and he apparently loves playing ping pong. So i played a round or two against him and he is really good. I am a little rusty and so he won. it was a great match though. but he asked me this evening if i would baptize him next saturday. Im so happy that he is making this step in his life. He is so happy and so willing to do that which will bring him blessings.
We set other baptismal dates this week. so in totall we have about 7 people that want to enter the waters of baptism. For that im pretty excited. WE have the possibility of helping six of these people come to baptism in the next transfer. It all just depends upon the fact if they keep their committments. Well im off to bed. its later than i want it to be and instead of writing in my journal we decided it would be good to write you now because next week we are helping with transfers, picking up new missionaries, sending home the old ones, and preparing for the next mission tour. Elder Hinckley is coming to our mission to pump up the missionaries and to help them/all of us reach our highest potential. He is the son of President Hinckley. We get to travel around with them in the entire mission and learn from him and his wife. Im so greatfull for you all and for all that you do. thank you for supporting me in my mission. thank you for everything.

Danke Sehr,
Also wunderschönen guten servus!!!!. We had a great week this week. The past two weeks were intense. We were constantly on the road. We haven't had the time to go grocery shopping for three weeks and because of that we saved a lot of money. Sister Condie watches out for us though. We were planning on riding with them these last two weeks from zone conference to zone konference but it always turned out that president condie had meetings with the stake presidents after the zone conferences and so that meant that Elder Baird and i had some time to go out and work with the missionaries. We went out and we baptised!!!! We went on splits and exchanges everywhere. I went to a family in wels in the salzburg zone and had the wonderful opportunity of committing them to baptism. They want to be baptised on the 12th of March. We helped the elders in Aarau, switzerland find 4 new investigators. We made out about 4 appointments in Bern. In wien on the way to the trainstation we were able to get a few contacts. It was awesome. It was the greatest two weeks of my life till now. the next two weeks im going to do better and make them better than the last and so on and so forth. But it wasnt without its trials. We only got to spend three days in our own area, we spent many nights sleeping on the floors of other missionaries apartments, no blankets no mattresses.... its cool. But we still had an amazing week. we packed double appointments in during the couple days that we were here and the members just did splits with us so we were able to teach and meet with just as many people as we wanted. The members here are so ready to help us. its wonderful. they saw a couple sundays ago that we had like 9 investigators at church and just wanted to drop everything that they were doing and help the missionwork.
We are working so hard and it is so worth it. Georg Gaier is making amazing progress. I am so impressed with his will to do what is right. He wants to give up smoking. So yesterday i did the stop smoking programm with him and he is willing to give up smoking. He is so excited to get baptized on the 5th of march. I am also very excited for that day.
Well i gotta say that elder baird is my valentine. I love him so much. We work so hard together. We feed off of each others momentum, and we keep pushing each other to be better more christlike missionaries. I would give him my firstborn child. So even though we were only together these past two weeks during the actual zone konferences, and every other minute we were apart teaching with other missionaries encouraging, inspiring, lifting and blessing others, it was a great week. I dont actually know if that sentence made sense. Hmmm. my english is pretty sad. thats why im staying here. I got it. Its pretty final, or in other words official. President is allowed, from the First Presidency, to extend my mission for an extra month. That is the maximal amount of time for anybody because of Visa regulations. But im ok with that. So..... hope you are all ok with that. :) Its the greatest thing in the world. wanna know why? Wien, Salzburg, Wels, München, Stuttgart, Esslingen, Winterthur, St. Gallen, Zürich, Wettingen, Bern, Zollikofen, and Aarau. Those were the cities i was in, in the past 2 weeks. Each city has at least 30,000 inhabitants, most of which need the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so stoked to share this saving message, the healing words and love that our Heavenly Father has for all of us, with every single one of these people. Have a great week, and enjoy the blessings that you daily recieve at the hand of Him from whom all blessings flow.

February 8, 2011

Hi everybody,
I love you all very much.
Well well well,
it seems as though when i miss emailing for a week it turns out really bad. sorry that i miss sometimes. It is a rule that we are supposed to write every week however we have been so busy. This week we start the mission tour again. We are traveling around the mission for the next two weeks and teaching at seven different zone konferenzes. We are pretty excited because we got news that Elder Hinckley will be coming to our mission at the end of this month. he will be touring our mission and teaching us and helping us to become a better mission. But as for the bad news. That is really not cool that the two emails that i got from you for the past two weeks are about deaths. I remember sister littleford. She was a great lady and had a wonderful impact on me in my life especially as a missionary. i really learned the talent of listening to someone when we went to her house and met with her. She was great. I do that with investigators now. Listening to them and to the spirit is the key to helping them solve their concerns. That is so sad as well that Uncle mark died. That is horrible news especially how he died. Not even cool. I know that the Lord our God has a Plan and a place for them though and because they led righteous lives and served others they will be blessed. I am so greatfull for the restored gospel and for the comfort that it brings.
We have a wall in the mission office that has pictures of recent baptisms in the mission and a couple pictures of the German speaking lands temples and in the middle of it it it has a definition for the word missionary. It says: "Missionary-someone who leaves his or her family for two years so that others can be with theirs for eternity" I truly believe in that statement and take comfort in that fact. I get to see this gospel blessing the lives of the families that we are teaching. We are teaching a couple of amazing families at the moment. We found them recently. Jonathan and Martina and their three kids are amazing. they came to church for the first time the other day and loved it. they felt the spirit so strongly and are wanting to come again next week. they are wanting to have their underaged children blessed by priesthood holders and they want to be baptized. Jonathan wants to be baptized so that he can be able to baptize his daughter Kristina when she turns eight on the 7th of April. I am so happy to be here. so many miracles are happening right now. Elder Baird and i are working so hard. I love him so much for the strength he gives me and how we can just swing off of each others momentum to keep moving forward even though we don't have enough strength to move on alone.
There is another man Georg Gaier. he is the boyfriend of a member. hasn'nt wanted contact really for a long time but with a call led by the spirit we were able to reach him in a time of need and he just had an a-ha moment. He realizes the gospel is something necessary and wants to meet with us. he mentioned to his girlfriend that he wants to be married in the temple. How wonderful is that?!!!?
well to answer your questions. no i did not get grandmas package. I am not drinking pina coladas. whats with produce basket? Im doing ok except for my body is breaking down and the only thing holding me together is the holy ghost. I might have strep. Sister condie has already checked on me and i have talked to the mission doctor. We are working like beasts here. havent had a p-day since i got here, but im loving it. I have to try to pay My Savior back for what he has done for me. So im giving my best everyday. and because i am loving it so much i have talked to president condie. (its cool being here. I have close connections with president and sister condie, for example when i am sick). And i suggested president condie that he extend my callling. We'll see :) I love you all so much and wish you a merry christmas.
Love ELder ADams
